Prayer

“Just as in the Upper Room, Mary in her heart, with her prayerful presence, watched over the origins of the Church, so too now the Church’s journey is entrusted to the loving heart and praying hands of cloistered nuns.”

(Verbi Sponsa, 4 )

Divine Liturgy
The solemn celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the heart of our whole life and the chief source of its unity. The nuns worship Christ in the mystery of the Eucharist, so that from this wonderful exchange they may draw an increase of faith, hope and charity.

The Liturgy of the Hours
“Seven times a day I praise you Lord” (Ps 119). Seven times a day, we gather in choir to pray and sing the Liturgy of the Hours. Daily, we are immersed in the Word of God and the official prayers of the Church.

Private Prayer
In addition to liturgical prayer, the nuns persevere fervently and earnestly in private prayer, so dear to our holy Father Dominic and the first brothers and sisters of the Order.

Rosary Hour of Guard- Perpetual Rosary
The Nuns succeed each other hour by hour, kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament in their Rosary Hour of Guard. In adoration, thanksgiving, supplication and reparation the Sisters unceasingly intercede for the needs of the Church, the world and the salvation of souls.

Silence and monastic enclosure foster the life of prayer and contemplation. With these aesthetical practices, the Nun is more readily prepared for ‘holy listening’ to the Word, Who dwells in her heart.
